Oregon 2020 Goalie Clinic with Benny Pugh
3d Oregon is excited to bring back Benny Pugh to host the 2020 Goalie Clinic! This is a great opportunity for young goalies to learn from one of the best in Lacrosse! Benny was a four-year standout for the Richmond Spiders from 2014-17 and holds most of the Spiders' goalkeeping records. He holds the program's records for wins (35), goals against average (7.77), saves (554) and save percentage (.579). Benny was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2017 when he set single-season league records for saves (184) and save percentage (.662). As team captain for Richmond, Pugh was named First Team All-America after leading the NCAA in goals against average (6.10) and save percentage. He was a five-time SoCon Defensive Player of the month that year. Pugh received the Ensign C. Markland Kelly Jr. Award for NCAA Goalie of the Year in 2017 and was a Tewaaraton Award Nominee. Benny also served as an assistant coach for the University of Richmond leading them to the NCAA tournament in 2018. He was drafted in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) as the first overall selection in the 2018 MLL Supplemental Draft by the Boston Cannons.
