Magan joined the 3d Mid-Atlantic team as our Girls Manager in 2020, after coaching girls teams in the 3d system for a number of years.
She began coaching youth lacrosse for Western Loudoun Lacrosse in 2008. As a volunteer, Magan served as Girl’s Commissioner and President for the nonprofit recreation program. In Spring of 2016 Magan was named Head Coach of the Woodgrove High School girls varsity program in Purcellville, VA.
Magan grew up in Massachusetts just south of Boston playing soccer and sailing. She is a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton, MA. She attended Trinity College, Washington D.C. and graduated in 1994 with a B.A. in Political Science. Having never played lacrosse before college, Magan played 3 years of D3 lacrosse for the Lady Tigers as a defender.
Following college graduation, Magan worked for a nonprofit in Washington, D.C. before moving back to Massachusetts with her husband Bill to continue her education working towards a M.A. in Special Education and to raise their growing family.
Magan is the mother of 5 current and former lacrosse players. Magan’s twin daughters (Ellie and Caroline) are 3d Mid Atlantic alumnae (2018’s) and played for the 3d U15 National Team in 2014. They currently play D2 lacrosse at the University of Virginia at Wise. Her son Nate is a coach at Woodgrove High School. Her son Jacob is on the Ocean Racing (Sailing) Team and a cadet at The United States Coast Guard Academy. The youngest Earnshaw, Zachary, attends Woodgrove High School following in siblings footsteps as a member of the Wolverine lacrosse program. She resides in Round Hill, VA with her husband Bill and their youngest son Zachary. Magan enjoys coaching, attending her children’s athletic events and spending time with family and friends at her home away from home on Cape Cod, MA.
