Mooney
Manager, New England South

3d is excited to have Connor Mooney join the 3d Tri-State team as a Manager. Connor has coached with 3d Lacrosse since 2015, most recently in the 3d New England South market based out of Hartford, CT.

Connor has been in and around lacrosse his entire life. Most recently he served as the Offensive Coordinator at Western New England University (WNE). He also played a key role in the recruiting process. WNE was among the top 20 DIII teams in scoring during Connor’s time there. During the 2016 spring season, the Golden Bears posted a 15-4 record -- including wins over Stevenson, Amherst and Nazareth -- and captured their third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) title.

Connor has a lot of experience with the Golden Bears tradition as his father was among the early pioneers of the WNE program serving as its head coach in 1983 and 1984.

Prior to beginning Connor’s coaching career, he played four years of Division I lacrosse at UMass where he earned his bachelor's degree in Sports Management. Connor was named to the USILA Scholar All-America Team and was the recipient of a CAA Academic Achievement in 2014. He was twice named to the All New England All Conference (CAA) team and was a team captain.

Connor grew up in Wilbraham, MA where he played two years of lacrosse for his father Russ at Minnechaug Regional High School before playing at Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut.

Connor is currently pursuing a Masters of Business Administration degree at Western New England.
