Program Overview

Do you want to be MORE productive on the field? Do you want individual positional training this summer that will get you better and more tools to be effective on the field? Our Tri-State Dodge and Defend Clinic is the answer! Throughout this 1-day positional clinic players will receive high intensity workouts built around creative drills with maximum repetitions to keep the training fresh and challenging. During the first part of the training session, players will be split up and work through position-specific skills and drills. The second part of the training session will combine the positional groups to compete in small-sided offense vs. defense drills allowing players to immediately translate the skills they learned earlier in the session.

Offensive training will consist of drills and exercises that focus on stick stills, dodging, finishing and shooting that will ultimately improve a player's overall offensive game. Defensive training will consist of drills and exercises that focus on positioning (on and off ball), communication, stick checking, and footwork that will ultimately improve a player's overall defensive game. If you are looking to improve your defensive skills, or improve putting the ball in the back of the net, this clinic is for you!

Designed for players to take pride back in their individual 1 on 1 defensive match ups and being a great TEAM defender and leader. Not only will players master throwing multiple checks, but also playing smart position defense using footwork to work through defensive disadvantages. Team defensive concepts involving proper communication, sliding, recovery, and check recovery will also be covered. Players will learn to be physical and effective at causing turnovers and generating offense. All drills, including fundamentals of shooting and handling the ball with a long pole will be covered through game-like drills.

Dodging to score... sounds simple right? To be a GREAT shooter and a GREAT dodger takes much more than JUST practice. It requires you to practice the right way to become an elite shooter. Along with shooting, the Offensive Academy will develop the following attacking skills: dodging, picking (2-man game), footwork, ball handling, and feeding. Come find out what it takes to be an all around scorer.
