Tri-State Boys and Girls Dodging and Defending Clinic

Tri-State Boys and Girls Dodging and Defending Clinic

Program Overview

3d Tri-State is offering a 90 Minute Position specific training clinic for players in the region. The tempo of the this session will resemble that of a D1 college practice and will teach players to make quick high level decisions. This skill based clinic will be focused primarily on 1v1 dodging and defending, and will be designed to develop player’s advanced skill at each position.

Every player will benefit by becoming a more effective and stronger finisher. Each 90 minute session will push players out of their comfort zone in high tempo drills, working on both inside and outside shooting.

Player development is the most important and least emphasized component of lacrosse throughout the nation. Our main goal is to enhance and develop lacrosse specific skills while teaching players how to implement these skills in game situations.  Offensive players will focus on shooting on the run and in inside as well as agilities and technique in various dodging skills; are all critical parts of any offensive player’s game. Defensively, this clinic is focused on long-stick defenders and giving them an in-depth opportunity to get high-level focused instruction on the intrici’s of the position. Defenders will work on approaches, footwork, holds/checks, sliding, two-man play, and communication. Dodges will occur from all angles on the field and will include multiple repetitions at 1v1 and 2v2 play.
