NE South Girls Box Speed/Agility Training
3d NE South welcomes back Girls Box Lacrosse Training at Oakwood Soccer Center in Glastonbury. Girls lacrosse requires a high level of skill, lacrosse IQ, and the ability to make quick decisions. Box lacrosse training has been proven to be one of the best ways to develop those skill sets in lacrosse players. In box lacrosse, the confines of the glass and boards force players to move faster, think quicker, and move the ball efficiently. The small-sided game play in the box sets players up for more touches, leading to a faster skill progression. Lastly, the goals in box lacrosse are smaller which makes skills like faking, feeding and finishing more difficult. Players will find box lacrosse challenging, but rewarding and fun.
Beyond the traditional Box Lacrosse Training, 3d NE South will now be adding a Speed and Agility component to these sessions. This training will be taught by a local professional speed trainer, who will increase players speed and agility in the box. Focusing on speed and agility, in the box setting, will provide athlete's with a type of training they have never experienced before. Players that embrace these kinds of sessions are able to take their game to the next level. At the end of these two sessions, we are confident players will have not only increased their skills, but gained confidence in their ability to finish and handle the ball under pressure. Everything developed through speed and agility box training, will be extremely valuable this spring on the field.
