LC Connecticut River

LC Connecticut River

LC Connecticut River is thrilled to provide more training and development opportunities for boys and girls in Connecticut. 3d Lacrosse and the CT Cardinals Lacrosse Club have joined forces to create LC teams that will serve Central and Southern Connecticut. The LC platform mirrors all of the benefits of the current 3d Select Team model, but with a heavy concentration on local training, local events and tournaments, a flexible schedule, and reduced travel costs. Our goal is to give competitive local players high level and consistent training in addition to their community programs.

Who

Seth Jacoby, the Director of 3d New England South, has worked alongside CT Cardinals founders Rick McCarthy and John Raba for many years in a variety of roles, including coaching at nearby Wesleyan University. Jacoby will also be accompanied by Connor Mooney, the newest Manager of 3d New England South. Mooney has been coaching with 3d Lacrosse since 2015 and recently managed the youth program for the 3d Tri-State Select teams.

Former CT Cardinals coaches will continue to play a vital role in LC Connecticut River and remain coaches in the program. As a result, Jacoby and Mooney will work closely with their coaches to emphasize 3d Lacrosse’s training and development model to help players rapidly improve their skills.

Where

LC Connecticut River uses athletic fields and facilities in both Middletown and New London, Connecticut. The travel radius for players and families attending 3d LC Connecticut River training sessions is about an hour or less.

Why

Because 3d Lacrosse is a national program that offers a range of programs suitable for players of different levels of ability and interest, the CT Cardinals leadership believe 3d Lacrosse will be best suited to accommodate the varying needs of the Cardinals families. 3d Lacrosse focuses on training, skill development, lacrosse IQ and honoring the game. 3d Lacrosse’s values and mission resonated with McCarthy and Raba, who brought similar philosophies to the Cardinals organization.

With the formation of LC Connecticut River, 3d Lacrosse will be in a position to continue to provide training for all former CT Cardinals players and teams, as well as welcomes any and all new players to participate in the LC Connecticut River program.

Additional Opportunities

Opportunity to participate in all 3d Lacrosse clinics and training opportunities.
