FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

3d LACROSSE LAUNCHES MAJOR EXPANSION IN GEORGIA

New Offices, Club Teams, Leagues, Events and Staff Dedicated to Develop Southern Players; Select Team Tryouts in Atlanta Area September 20th

DENVER, COLO. (August 12, 2015) – Adding to its longtime Southern presence through 3d Blue Chip and Spring Break programs in Florida, 3d Lacrosse, the nation’s fastest-growing lacrosse services Company, today announces a major expansion into the state of Georgia to better serve young athletes throughout the Southeastern Region with Select team programs, camps, leagues, box lacrosse training and the company’s signature Box-Field Hybrid Development System. 3d Lacrosse Georgia will launch in September with an Atlanta-based office.

3d Lacrosse, which operates and trains more than 130 clubs in 14 markets across the country, will hold tryouts for six boys’ teams (graduating years 2017 – 2022) on September 20th at Milton High School.

3d Lacrosse is already slated to operate the Eagles Fall Lacrosse League (EFLL), a high school field lacrosse league hosted on Sundays (September through November) at Milton High School with Varsity, JV and Freshman divisions.

“I am thrilled that 3d Lacrosse will work with coaches and players in Georgia,” said Founder/CEO Jamie Munro. “As an emerging hotbed market for lacrosse talent, Atlanta and the surrounding communities have great athletes and coaches who are hungry to learn and to improve. Our local team – the combination of Bob Hamley, our National Director of Box Lacrosse and Casey Martin, an NCAA Division I assistant coach – provides the region with a highly-skilled duo able to offer the ultimate in box/field hybrid training.”

Atlanta-Based Executives & Staff

Bob Hamley, the current National Director of Box Lacrosse will relocate to Atlanta and serve as Director of Georgia. After a four-year professional career with the Buffalo Bandits, Bob Hamley held Assistant and Head Coaching positions with professional teams throughout Canada before being named the Head Coach and General Manager of the Columbus Landsharks, (which relocated to become the Arizona Sting). In 2005, having led the Sting to the championship finals, Hamley was the recipient of the Les Bartley Award for Coach of the Year and was subsequently named General Manger of the Year, becoming the first person in league history to win both awards in the same year. After a year with the Edmonton Rush, Hamley moved on to lead the Colorado Mammoth.

Casey Martin will join 3d Lacrosse as Senior Manager, Georgia. Martin most recently served as assistant coach at NCAA Division I University of Michigan. Previously, Martin coached at Wagner College (where he earned his MBA) and Vassar College. Earlier, Casey served as Head Coach of the Manchester Waconians in England. A graduate of Fairfield University, Casey was a three-year starter at attack.

3d Georgia FAQs

Q: Who will be running 3d’s Georgia Operations?

A: Bob Hamley, Director of Box Lacrosse and 3d Georgia, and Casey Martin, Senior Manager of 3d Georgia. Bob has an extensive career in all levels of box lacrosse, from professional down to youth, in both The U.S.A. and Canada. Bob enters his second year with 3d Lacrosse as he heads down to Atlanta. New to 3d Lacrosse is Casey Martin, who comes most recently from his coaching position at NCAA DI University of Michigan.

Q: When and where will the parent meetings / open houses for 3d GA occur?

A: The target dates for the parent meetings are September 2 and 3 or 3 and 4. We will be hosting one meeting in Johns Creek and one meeting in Milton, so parents, players and others from either side of town have a good option to come here about our plans for 3d Georgia.

Q: What does playing 3d Select Fall entail?

A: 3d Select Fall Teams will attend several tournaments and have an extensive training schedule in October and November. Tournament selection will be based on age and the recruiting timeline, meaning high school players will likely travel to at least one recruiting event, while youth may be able to gain equal experiences in local or regional tournaments. Training sessions will be a mix of field and box lacrosse, and players will be trained in 3d Lacrosse’s Box/Field Hybrid Development System (LINK), which places enormous emphasis on high tempo and high reps, movement with and without the ball, and constantly challenging players in new environments.
