With the NCAA lacrosse season in full swing, it's time for another look at how 3d Lacrosse alumni are performing throughout the college ranks nationwide.

3d Lacrosse alumni are making an impact across Division I, II and III, and we're please to share some of their accomplishments here with you.

Make sure to follow along this season as we track the progress of our alumni and celebrate their achievements.

Here’s a rundown of how 3d alumni fared this past week and into the weekend in the Division I landscape.

 

Men's Division I

Luke Leathers, Defense, Air Force, Senior - 3d Colorado, Regis Jesuit, Colo.

Leathers scooped a team high four groundballs in a winning effort for the Falcons. Air Force defeated Furman by a score of 14-4 on Saturday March 12 in its first conference game of the season.

Austin Smith, Midfield, Air Force, Junior - 3d Colorado, Mullen, Colo.

Smith scored a goal and added an assist in a conference win for Air Force. He’s currently tied for fifth on the team in scoring with 6 goals and 3 assists through 7 games.

Sean LaVine, Defense, Air Force, Sophomore - 3d Colorado, Fairview, Colo.

The sophomore defender started his seventh game of the season for the Falcons. He’s currently third on the team with 11 groundballs.

Todd Stewart, LSM, Brown, Senior - 3d New England, St. Michael's College, Ont.

Stewart scooped a groundball in Brown’s 22-8 won over Michigan on Saturday. It was his fourth appearance this season and the senior’s seven groundballs have helped the Bears start their season 5-0.

Bailey Tills, A, Brown, Senior - 3d Colorado, Kent Denver, Colo.

The senior attackman scored a goal and added four assists in the Bears’ 22-8 win over Michigan. He has eight goals and five assists on the season. He’s appeared in every game for undefeated Brown and is currently fourth on the team in scoring.

Larken Kemp, LSM, Brown, Senior - 3d New England, Phillips Andover Academy, Mass.

The senior All-American LSM scored a goal and caused three turnovers for the Bears to help lead the defense in the dominating win over Michigan. He also scooped a groundball to bring his season total up to 18 which is good enough for third on the team.

DU

Dylan Johnson, Defense, Denver, Freshman - 3d Colorado, Cherry Creek, Colo.

Johnson started at defense in the huge matchup between No. 1 ranked Denver and No. 2 ranked Notre Dame. He contributed one groundball and one caused turnover on the dramatic overtime win for the Pioneers.

Jacob O’Donnell, Attack, Drexel, Sophomore - 3d San Diego, Poway, Calif.

O’Donnell scored two goals and added his first assist of the season in the Dragons 14-5 win over Bryant on Saturday. He also saw action in a midweek loss to Maryland by a score of 12-8.

Tanner Landstra, Defense, High Point, Junior - 3d Colorado, Indian Hill, Ohio

Landstra started on defense and helped the Panthers win a 13-12 nail biter over Providence on Saturday. the junior defenseman scooped a groundball in the winning effort.

Bryan Hancock, Midfield, Hobart, Freshman - 3d Colorado, Mountain Vista, Colo.

Hancock saw time in both of the Statesman’s games this week. He scooped a groundball in the team’s midweek game against Colgate.

Wilkins Dismuke, Attack, Johns Hopkins, Junior- 3d Colorado, Rock Canyon, Colo.

Dismuke scored a goal and had an assist in the Blue Jays big 14-8 win over Towson on Saturday. He also had a groundball and caused a turnover in the win. The junior attackman has started all five games this season for the Jays and is currently fourth on the team in scoring with six goals and two assists.

Patrick Foley, Defense, Johns Hopkins, Freshman - 3d New England, St. John’s Prep, Mass.

The freshman defenseman has started every game this season and chipped in two ground balls in the Jays' win over Towson this weekend. He has 10 groundballs this season which ties him for third on the team.

Kiel Brennan, FOGO, Mercer, Freshman- 3d Colorado, Mountain Vista, Colo.

The freshman FOGO went 10-16 at the X and scooped five groundballs in a midweek game against Robert Morris. He also saw some time in a loss to Bellarmine on Saturday. He’s currently winning more than 51 percent of his draws for the Bears.

michigan

Peter Kraus, Attack, Michigan, Senior- 3d New England, New Canaan, Conn.

Kraus scored one goal on one shot for Michigan in a 22-8 setback at Brown. The senior has started five games this season for the Wolverines and has nine goals and two assists which puts him at third on the team in scoring. He’s also contributed six groundballs this year.

Cooper Glass, Defense, Monmouth, Sophomore- 3d Colorado, Arapahoe, Colo.

Glass scooped four groundballs in a 12-5 win in Tuesday’s against NJIT. He also contributed in a loss on Saturday to Saint Joseph’s. The sophomore has started all 5 games this season for the Hawks, who are off to a 3-2 start. He has eight groundballs and two caused turnovers so far this season.

Pierre Byrne, Midfield, Notre Dame, Sophomore - 3d Colorado, Culver Military Institute, Ind.

Byrne contributed one caused turnover in an overtime loss to Denver on Sunday. The caused turnover was an important one as it led to a goal that was part of a big Notre Dame comeback to tie the game and send it to overtime.

Ryder Garnsey, Attack, Notre Dame, Freshman - 3d New England, Brewster Academy, NH/ Phillips Andover Academy, Mass.

The freshman attackman got some important minutes in the Irish’s game against Denver. He scooped two groundballs in the loss.

Jack Jasinski, Attack, Ohio State, Freshman - 3d Colorado, Oak Mountain, Ala.

Jasinski started his third game of the season for the Buckeyes on Saturday against Hofstra. He scored a goal and had an assist in an 8-5 loss. He also scooped two groundballs. He has four goals and three assists in seven games this season.

Matt Florence, Midfiled, Penn State, Junior - 3d Colorado, Kent Denver, Colo.

Matt scored two goals and added an assist in a win over Furman on Tuesday. On Saturday he scored one goal in an overtime win over Harvard. He is currently fourth on the team in scoring with 11 goals and two assists.

Mike Morean, Midfield, Princeton, Freshman - 3d Colorado, Cherry Creek, Colo.

Mike scooped a groundball in against Maryland in Saturday’s contest. He now has three groundballs on the season.

Kyle Pless, LSM, Rutgers, Freshman - 3d Colorado, Mountain Vista Ranch, Colo.

Pless saw action in his sixth game of the season on Friday evening against Stony Brook. He collected a groundball to bring his season total to 9.

Jason Brewster, Defense, UMBC, Freshman - 3d San Diego, Valley Center, Calif.

Jason scooped a groundball and contributed at the faceoff X in a 9-8 overtime win over Marist this past Saturday. He has played in each of the Retrievers 4 games and has 7 groundballs so far this season along with his work at the faceoff.

James Leary, Defense, Vermont, Sophomore - 3d New England, Governor’s Academy, N.H.

James has started all seven games this season for the Catamounts including both of this week’s contests. He had two groundballs in a game against Canisius which was the first NCAA lacrosse game played on Canadian soil. He added two groundballs and two caused turnovers in a 9-8 overtime win against Sacred Heart. He’s currently second on the team with 19 groundballs.

Matt Gudas, Midfield, Vermont, Sophomore - 3d New England, Holderness School, N.H.

Gudas scored his second goal of the season in the Catamounts overtime win over Sacred Heart this past weekend. It was the second goal of the game and put UVM up 2-0.

Tanner Scales, Defense, Virginia, Junior - 3d Colorado, Regis Jesuit, Colo.

Tanner scooped a groundball in a 9-7 win over Saint Joseph’s on Tuesday. He has 21 groundballs and eight caused turnovers in six games this season for the Cavaliers.

Jeff Kratky, Midfield, Virginia, Junior - 3d New England, Taft School, Conn.

The junior midfielder scooped two groundballs and went 4-for-5 at the faceoff X in a win over Saint Joseph’s in an early midweek game. He scooped another groundball and took the majority of the draws for Virginia in a game against Cornell this past Saturday.

Joe French, Attack, Virginia, Junior- 3d New England, Deerfield Academy, MA

Joe scored one goal in each of Virginia’s games this week to bring his total to three on the season. He’s seen action in each of the Cavaliers games this season, starting one of them.

Women's Division I

Dempsey Arsenault, Midfield, Boston College, Freshman - 3d New England, New Hampton School, N.H.

Dempsey continues her strong freshman campaign starting 8 of 8 games played this season. In an impressive battle with No. 2 University of Florida, the Eagles traded goals back and forth with the Gators and took an early one goal lead, but eventually fell 5-13. Dempsey recorded a caused turnover in the loss, bringing her totals for the season to five groundballs, two caused turnovers and six draw controls.

Holly Billett, Attack, Central Michigan, Freshman - 3d Colorado, Mountain Vista, Colo.

Holly recorded her first career statistics in a 19-5 rout against Delaware State. She picked up a groundball and caused turnover in CMU's third win in program history.

Taylor Cuenin, Midfield, UC Davis, Freshman, 3d NorCal, San Ramon Valley, Calif.

Taylor has solidified her spot as the Aggies top-scorer with 12 goals in five games including four in a 19-7 win over Saint Mary's.
