The 2017 college lacrosse season rolls on, and we're seeing more and more parity at all levels,  making this one of the most exciting and interesting lacrosse seasons in recent memory. 

As the season has played out, we have tracked an increasing number of 3d Lacrosse alumni in both the men's and women's game who continue to lead the way for their teams and make their mark on the field.

In the newest edition of our 3d Alumni in the College Ranks feature, we take a look at more players who are representing the 3d Methodology well as they make important contributions for their respective teams across the country.  

Follow us throughout the year as we root for the young men and women making us proud out on college lacrosse fields this season. 

Men’s Division I

Austin Smith, Midfield, Air Force, Senior - 3d Colorado, J.K. Mullen, CO
Austin has score a goal in the Falcons last three games. His biggest goal of the three was when he scored the overtime game-winner to propel his team to a 10-9 win over Jacksonville on March 25th. He increased his goal total to six to go along with his four assists this season. His play has helped the Falcons out to a 7-4 record.

Sean LaVine, Defense, Air Force, Junior - 3d Colorado, Fairview, CO
Sean has continued to be a key player for the Falcons’ defensive unit. He currently has 13 groundballs on the season including two he picked up in a 20-2 win over Bellarmine on April 1st.

Larken Kemp, LSM, Brown, Senior - 3d New England, Phillips Andover Academy, MA Larken has helped the Bears to a 2-1 record since we last checked in. He recorded two assists in a 17-14 win over Holy Cross and picked up six groundballs. He scored a goal and added two assists in a 21-11 loss to Princeton. He’s second on the team with 36 groundballs and leading the Bears with 12 caused turnovers through eight games.

Jack Collins, Midfield, Brown, Junior – 3d New England, Taft, CT
Jack has recorded a point in each of the Bears' last three games. He scored a goal in his team’s win over Holy Cross and registered an assist in a win against UMass and a loss to Princeton. He now has four goals and two assists on the season.

Jeff Teat, Attack, Cornell, Freshman - 3d Can-Am, The Hill Academy, ON
Jeff has continued his strong freshman season for the Big Red. He recorded three goal and four assists in a 15-6 win over Colgate leading his team to its first win. He also scooped a season high six groundballs in the victory. He scored two goals and added one assist in a loss to Penn and followed that up with one goal and five assists in a 14-5 win over Dartmouth. His 16 goals is tied for a team high and his 19 assists leads the Big Red for a total of 35 points.

Jake O’Donnell, Attack, Drexel, Junior - 3d San Diego, Poway, CA
Jake has recorded a point in the Dragons' last four games. He scored his fourth goal of the season in a 9-8 setback at Providence on March 26th and added an assist in an 8-7 loss to Towson on April 1st. His nine points are the fifth highest on his team.

Wilkins Dismuke, Attack, Johns Hopkins, Senior - 3d Colorado, Rock Canyon, CO
Wilkins has helped the Blue Jays to two straight wins. He recorded an assist in his team’s 12-6 victory over Rutgers on March 31st. He currently has 12 goals and three assists this season.

Pat Fraser, Midfield, Johns Hopkins, Junior - 3d New England, Dexter, MA
Pat scored a goal in the Blue Jays' 18-17 win over Virginia on March 25th. He’s continued to play a pivotal role for his team helping them to two straight victories. He has increased his goal total to seven for the season to go along with one assist.

Ryder Garnsey, Attack, Notre Dame, Sophomore - 3d New England, Brewster Academy, NH/ Phillips Andover Academy, MA
Ryder is leading his team in goals and assists with 15 each and his 30 points is a team high. He scored two goals and added two assists in a 12-7 win over Ohio State on March 25th. He then scored one goal and assisted another in an 11-10 loss to Syracuse on April 1st.

Matt Florence, Midfiled, Penn State, Senior - 3d Colorado, Kent Denver, CO
Matt has helped his team to a 10-0 record and currently the No. 1 ranking in all of the polls. He has scored eight goals and assisted on three others this season while playing in all 10 games and starting five of them for the Nittany Lions.

Kyle Pless, LSM, Rutgers, Sophomore - 3d Colorado, Mountain Vista, CO
Kyle has continued to do a nice job picking up groundballs for the Scarlet Knights this season. He scooped one groundball in a 13-9 loss to Delaware on March 25th and then added two more in a 12-6 setback against Johns Hopkins on March 31st. He now has 25 on the season, which is third best on his team.

Jason Brewster, Defense, UMBC, Sophomore - 3d San Diego, Valley Center, CO
Jason has been contributing as a starter on the defense for the Retrievers. He has scooped a groundball in the past two games, a 10-7 loss to Michigan and a 10-6 win over UMass-Lowell. He now has 16 groundballs for the season and is second on the team with nine caused turnovers.

Tanner Scales, Defense, Virginia, Senior - 3d Colorado, Regis Jesuit, CO
Tanner has started all 10 games for the Cavaliers. He recorded his first point of the season with an assist in an 18-17 loss to Johns Hopkins on March 25th. He’s scooped two groundballs in each of his last two games and has increased his season total to 31.

Joe French, Attack, Virginia, Senior - 3d New England, St. Michaels, ON/ Deerfield Academy, MA
Joe has been contributing as a starting attackman for the Cavaliers. He scored a goal in an 18-17 setback to Johns Hopkins. His goal total for the season is now 10 and he has four assists as well.

Women’s Division I

Dempsey Arsenault, Midfield, Boston College, Freshman - 3d New England, New Hampton School, NH
Dempsey is contributing on the offense for the Eagles. She scored two goals, including one on a free possession shot, in a 15-13 loss to North Carolina. She added two assists in 17-10 win over Virginia. She has nine goals and seven assists in 13 games played this season and is sixth on the team in points.

Taylor Cuenin, Midfield, UC Davis, Sophmore - 3d NorCal, San Ramon Valley, CA
Taylor is leading the Aggies on offense and is their leading scorer. She has scored at least a goal in each of her team’s last three games and added three in an 20-7 loss to UMBC. She has 35 goals on the season and 11 assists for 45 total points. She is also leading the team with 46 groundballs.

Asa Goldstock, Goalie, Syracuse, Freshman - 3d New England, New Hampton School, NH
Asa is solidified as the Orange’s starting goalie having started all 13 games this season. In her last outing she had seven saves in a 10-9 win over ACC rival Duke. She has backstopped the team to a 9-4 record and is saving the ball at .429%.

Men's Division III

Cody Tranbarger, Goalie, Amherst, Senior - 3d Colorado, Trinity, KY
Cody has helped the newly named Mammoths five straight wins and has started every game for his team. He had a season-high 18 saves in an 20-11 win over Middlebury on April 1st. He’s allowing 11.1 goals per game and is saving the ball at .543%.

Sam Francis, FOGO, Bates, Senior - 3d New England, Newburyport, MA
Sam is the top face-off man on the 8-0 Bates Bobcats. He had a season-high 12 groundballs and won 23 of 27 faceoffs in a 19-10 win over Hamilton on April 2nd. He’s winning at .614% which is near the top of DIII. His 52 groundballs are tops on his team by nearly 30.

Tim Bulens, Attack, Bowdoin, Sophomore - 3d New England, Phillips Academy, MA
Tim has played in all eight games and earned one start this season. He had a season high five points with three goals and two assists, including the assist on the game winning goal with 1:23 left in the contest in a 16-15 victory over Williams. He scored a goal and added an assist in a 20-6 win over UMass-Boston for his fourth multi-point game of the season.

Jimmy Young, Attack, Bowdoin, Freshman - 3d New England, Phillips Exeter Academy, NH
Jimmy has five goals and two assists in the last four games, having played in three of those. He scored two goals and dished out an assist in the Polar Bears' 12-6 win over Trinity on April 1st. He’s third on the team in points with 18 points on 10 goals and eight assists.

PJ Kelleher, Attack, Conn College, Sophomore - 3d New England, Brooks School, MA
PJ has recorded multiple points in every game this season. He scored one goal and handed out two assists in an 11-9 win over Colby on March 25th. He is leading the Camels in points with 17 goals and 16 assists for 33 points.

JD Hall, LSM, RIT, Junior - 3d Colorado, Arapahoe, CO
JD is fifth on the team in points as an LSM through nine games with seven goals and seven assists. He scored two goals and had two assists for four points in a 19-12 win over Liberty League opponent St. Lawrence. He also has scooped up 16 groundballs for the Tigers.

Taylor Ghesquire, Midfield, Wesleyan, Junior - 3d New England, Cranbrook School, MA
Taylor has helped the Cardinals to seven straight wins. He had a season-high six points on five goals and one assist in a 13-4 win over Union on March 29th. His 22 goals this season is good for second best on his team.
