John T. Pirie

John T. Pirie, 3d Select New England Coach, has also been the Assistant Varsity Lacrosse Coach at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA since 2007. He is currently the Chair of the US Lacrosse Coaches Education Program. Since 2009, John has been both the Head Coach and the Assistant Coach for the New England Under Armour team. Since 2006, he has been the Head Clinician for the Federation of International lacrosse (FIL). His work with the FIL is primarily focused on training coaches in the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and Thailand.

Pirie has coached youth, middle school, high school and college lacrosse since 1987, including posts at Wilton High School, CT, Brookwood School, MA and Gordon College, MA. John has led the German National U-19 Team as Head Coach since 2006. In 2011 he was a U19 Team USA tryout coach and evaluator and in 2009 he was a USA men’s National Team tryout coach and evaluator.

John lives in Hamilton, MA.
