John Bayreuther

John Bayreuther joined 3d Lacrosse in 2009 as the Florida Co-Director of Prep-Bound Programs and Spring Training. For over 18 years, Bayreuther has been helping young people develop competitive athleticism, strong character, and high intellect. Bayreuther and Jamie Munro, 3d Lacrosse Founder, coached DI players together at the University of Denver. Through various private school roles he creates learning environments that are engaging and dynamic, and develops and promotes school cultures that place great value on character and academic success.

In his sixth year at Cardigan Mountain School (Canaan, NH), Bayreuther serves as the Director of Spiritual Life, Associate Director of Admissions, and the Varsity Lacrosse Coach. He has taught a variety of courses including English, Math, U.S. History, World History, Religion, Ethics, and Spiritual Life.

Prior to his tenure at Cardigan, Bayreuther was the First Assistant Lacrosse Coach at the University of Denver under then Head Coach, Jamie Munro, during the 2003 and 2004 season.

From 1996 through 2002, he served as the Dean of Students at the Hyde School (Bath, ME) and coached the Varsity Lacrosse team, a team that garnered several individual and team honors including five All-American players, six MAISAD Championships, and three New England Championships. In 1999, Bayreuther was honored as the Maine Coach of the Year.

Bayreuther played four years of Varsity Lacrosse for Springfield College (Springfield, MA), was named Captain in his senior year, and was honored as an All-New England player.

John and his wife have four children and live in Canaan, New Hampshire.
