Patrick Tuohy

In October, 2017, Patrick Tuohy was named the Director of 3d Garden State. A certified trainer and an experienced public speaker, Tuohy is the owner of numerous businesses, including X-tra Mile Fitness in Cranford, NJ.
A native of Westfield who captained the Blue Devils lacrosse and football teams as a senior, Tuohy has spent 13 years coaching at his alma mater, previously serving as a volunteer, the head junior varsity coach, varsity assistant, and head coach.
Tuohy attended Roanoke College after graduating high school, he joined the Marine Corps in 2002- cutting short his plan to play college lacrosse- and went on to complete two deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I and II. Tuohy received Honor Graduate accolades during recruiting training and Combat Engineer School and was honored for sustained acts of heroism or meritorious service with the Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon following missions in the Al Anbar Province. He completed a six-year stint in the Marine Corps in 2008, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He completed his degree from Roanoke College in 2006, earning a Bachelor's degree in History.
