What is the Recruiting Seminar?
The Recruiting Seminar is a panel discussion with a variety of DI, DII, DIII, prep school, and Service Academy coaches alongside Jake Reed and Jamie Munro. They will be discussing what your player can do to become more successful in the recruiting world. This is not mandatory; however, player and parents are encouraged to attend this portion of camp as it was very well received by last year’s participants.
It will take place on Saturday from 10:30am – 12:00pm.
For camps in Florida, the Recruiting Seminar will be held at venues offsite from the fields. It will be the responsibility of parents to transport players to and from the venue.
The Midwest, South, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast recruiting seminar will be held at:
The Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate
1500 Masters Boulevard
ChampionsGate, FL
It is $5 to park at the Omni facility so please bring cash if you plan on attending.
The Recruiting Seminar for the West region will be held at the fields directly after Saturday morning training.
Do parents need to stay onsite?
Parents do not have to stay at the fields during training or game play. The days are long however, so we do encourage being available to pick your player up after training and between games for food and rest.
Is transportation provided?
Transportation is NOT provided during any portion of the camp. Renting a car will be necessary.
Are meals provided?
No meals will be provided. There will be onsite vendors where you can purchase food and drinks. We do encourage packing snacks and sports drinks.

Can we switch camps if we are already registered?
If there is room available in the camp you would like to switch to, we would be happy to make the change.
Do you have recommended hotels?
TBD
What is the selection process?
Your player will be evaluated on his athleticism, lacrosse IQ, and skill. He will be evaluated by two of our National Evaluators. Two National Evaluators are assigned to each grade, and the same Evaluators will evaluate the same grade at all five camps to ensure consistency across all five regions.
Evaluation will be based on performance at these three days of camp alone. No previous statistics, records, accolades, recommendations or other information will be taken into consideration during the selection process. The players who play the best across the three days are selected.
What is the process after camp?
The invites to Jake Reed’s Nike Blue Chip camp will be decided by March 1st. Invitations and non-invitation notifications will be sent through email via Constant Contact to the primary parent contact email listed on your account. If you would like to change this email address at anytime, you can sign in to your account > click edit> and change the email address. Since emails can get caught in spam or junk, please contact us if you have not heard from us by March 8th.
Will college coaches be at the camps?
A variety of college coaches will be at the camps coaching, not recruiting. This is a try-out for a recruiting event.
Will an evaluation be provided after camp as to why my player did or did not receive an invite to Jake Reed’s Nike Blue Chip Camp?
No, individual evaluations will NOT be provided. Players will be evaluated by our National Evaluators much like they will be evaluated by a college recruiter. This format does not provide the time or content for specific feedback.
Is my son evaluated against players from just his camp or across all regional camps?
Players are evaluated against all regions. This ensures the best players from all 5 camps are selected.
What are the dates of Jake Reed’s Nike Blue Chip camp, 2014?
TBD
