3d Blue Chip (3dBC) is a national recruiting camp series created by Jake Reed, owner of the Nike Blue Chip Lacrosse Camp, and 3d Lacrosse.  Jake Reed’s Nike Blue Chip Camp is nationally regarded as the premier and most sought after recruiting camp in the country for high school lacrosse players. Founded by Jamie Munro, 3d Lacrosse has exploded onto the national scene with training, select club teams, and events.

3d Blue Chip brings together two of the best and most highly regarded names in lacrosse in the nation, in an effort to find the best high school players in the country for top college lacrosse programs to evaluate. 3d BC is doubling the size of the Nike Blue Chip Lacrosse Camp where over 95% of all seniors in attendance go on to play Division I lacrosse. Directed by Jamie Munro, a former NCAA Division I head coach, the goal of these camps is to train with the 3d Methodology.  3d’s Methodology lies first in individual player development which begins with athletic skill development. Without proper technique, strength, flexibility and power, an athlete cannot reach his potential. The second part of this integrated philosophy is the “Box / Field Hybrid Development System.” In 1993 Coach Munro played professionally in the MILL which is now the NLL. His game shot through the roof, and it was then that he began to integrate box lacrosse skills into his game and his coaching.  Training sessions at the camps will include cutting edge skills in a DI practice environment and an array of drills and exercises ranging from skill development and positional play to full field and transition play.

These National Feeder Camps choose players in five regions across the country; West, Midwest, South, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast (View Regions). Each regional camp will invite 120 of the area’s best players in grades 8, 9, and 10, to train and compete in front of a panel of local, regional, and national coaches.  The National Evaluators are Darryl Delia 8th grade evaluator, Eric Genova, 9th grade evaluator, Bart Sullivan, 2014 evaluator and rounding out the evaluating team are Reed and Munro. From the national pool of 600 players per grade, 120 players will then be invited to Reed’s Nike Blue Chip Lacrosse Camp held every June (July for 2016 Graduates). Reed plans to double the number of spots at the Nike Blue Chip Camp to 240 per grade, as well as add a rising freshman group of 120 players in year one. Reed will continue to invite the top 120 players in the country as he has done for a decade. The other 120 spots per grade will be granted to the top players from 3dBC. Beginning in the fall of 2011, a total of five 3dBC camps will be held from late November to January.
